Special seals

From a batch size of one — even when the size does not exist

When dimension, medium or temperature falls outside the catalogue, we develop the seal together with your design department. With us a prototype does not have to justify a minimum quantity.

V-ring for cell separation in medical technology

An example from practice showing what becomes possible with a new design.

The challenge

Freedom from foreign particles in the downstream filters, plus cleanability and sterilisability during the running process.

The solution

A newly designed V-ring seal with minimal dead space, material FKM to FDA and USP Class VI, temperature-resistant to 230 °C, CIP- and SIP-capable. On request in food-grade FFKM or metal-detectable.

The result

No foreign particles in the filters, longer service life, less maintenance effort, lower energy consumption.

What we need

What we can start with

For a sound answer the installation situation as a drawing or model is usually enough — PDF, DXF, DWG or STP. Plus the operating data, as far as you know them:

  • Shaft and housing diameter, available width
  • Speed or circumferential speed
  • Pressure on the sealing side, and temperature
  • Medium to be sealed, and lubrication conditions

If you do not know some of the figures, that is no problem. That is exactly what the conversation is for.
